This project was completed for The Human Resources Department in the County of Monterey. They needed a learning solution designed to introduce implicit bias to individuals involved in the hiring process. Learners needed to not only understand what implicit bias is, but also how it impacts the hiring process.

The HR team asked for a 1 hour learning solution to be delivered initially in-person, with the possibility of converting the course to an online learning platform in the future as they expanded the training to more departments.
This training consists of a lecture, several group discussions and activities, and an opportunity for both reflection as well as developing a plan for implementation when back on the job. All components can be translated to an online platform in the future, which will still provide engaging activities, online collaboration, and personal reflection.
With an eight week turnaround, this project hit the ground running with an initial proposal, a detailed design plan, and training outline. The initial slide deck was shared with both the project managers as well as SMEs for feedback and insight. In order to meet the strict deadlines, deliverables were sent out as soon as they were completed so that feedback and edits could be made as quickly as possible.
The project met the client criteria and received positive feedback from the SMEs. It was presented to council and approved.
