Many employees have been having trouble reading and comprehending production procedures. Additionally, there have been issues communicating about issues that come up on the production floor. I determined that the knowledge gap was both low English language skill and also a lack of confidence when speaking in English. This training course will use Rosetta Stone and Instructor-led training sessions in order to produce quantifiable language skill improvement in six months.

Abbreviated Design Plan Presentation (below)
Management asked for an improvement in English language skill and manufacturing language in six months. Employees are limited to three hours of educational time off of the production floor a week.
This training consists of a hybrid approach to learning ESL to boost employee confidence and skill level. The first phase is self-guided learning through the Rosetta Stone platform to allow all learners to enter the second phase at the same foundational level. The second phase is instructor-led sessions where a variety of textbook resources, activities, games, and assignments will be used to boost learner's confidence in the classroom and on-the-job.
ESL had previously been offered at the company but employees hadn't shown much improvement. The development process began with an evaluation of what was previously offered, interviews with management, and research into off-the-shelf resources that could be quickly implemented. After this, a company-specific curriculum was developed to meet the standards that were work-critical for our employees.
The project met the company criteria and received positive feedback from the management and staff. It was presented to upper management, materials were purchased, and the course was approved for implementation.
